My name is JD Mason and I am a graphic designer by day. In my spare time I enjoy other activities. Some of these include my own sketches, various musical compositions, abstract detritus and other curiosities right here in blog form snippets...
Glasgow Oyster turned 1 today!
and add the rest…feeling better. Music and my Art are propelling me forward
during a bastard year.
My new website is up that features my new series of illustrations to purchase,
formats are posters, t-shirts, A5 cards and any other found objects or suggestions. Also a full unique design service that can incorporate Illustrations into designs for print such as brochures, business cards and other business collateral. Also branding identities for both print and web and web design.
It is fully live now:
You can now purchase my music compositions which is exciting for me along
with my new website at: http://jdmasonglasgowoyster.bandcamp.com/
This is now live and I will be adding more tracks and an EP this week.
My tracks are available to listen to on
Guitar abstract: all drawing in this series will be available for print and t-shirts. My web site should be online very shortly.
New set of sketches against a dark background with a chalky effect to give the drawing
texture. Hoping to sell them, also make t-shirts from them and album covers possibly for my music or others.
A longer piece with a similar strain of folk/improv/eastern DNA. Also wretched from a recent dark convalescence.
Dark cerebral fingerpicked middle eastern soundscapes with improv second guitar audio and piano loops. Mined from my recent dark convalescence that I am recovering from and playing again.
I met the man after his gig in NORWICH with the master fingerpicker Michael Chapman.
Cool dude, he spent his time looking in records stores and supping ales.
Signed my Washing Machine & Murray Street cover art.
They both gave me some great advice regarding upcoming gig at Cafe OTO.
